Cover? How… Lena I don’t know about this.
I can’t force you to do anything…but you’d really be helping me out, Alex.
[He frowned, confused by her statement.] What kind of Trip? [He pulled on his shirt] Why what has happened? [He knew he shouldn’t of let her in because this wasn’t going to be good and he knew it but Lena was a close friend, a friend he could trust, maybe. But clearly she needed him.]
A getaway trip? I just wanted to get a little head-start on winter break. [Lena tried to sound as nonchalant as possible. She wasn’t about to let it be known that she was running away, much less let it be known that she was running away because of a boy. Walking into his dorm, she stood in the middle not really wanting to take a seat.] I just need you to cover for me until winter break actually starts…
[Alex was sitting on his bed, shirtless as usual. He heard the knock and swiftly got out of bed, he didn’t think anyone was suppose to be over since Ben was ‘away’ aka Declan, which hurt because Ben and him would always have a thing that’s not a thing but he hated him with Declan, as he was sure Ben hated him with Tyler. So when he opened the door and saw Lena he frowned, he hadn’t spoken to her in a while and she just shows up on his door? He frowned leaning against the door frame, his muscles flexed he raised an eyebrow] Yes Lena?
[Lena took a moment before answering him. She wasn’t quite sure on how she should phrase her words. She pulled on the hem of her t-shirt and chewed on her bottom lip until she finally had the courage to speak.] I — uh — I’m going on a little trip…

[Lena’s room was dark. Honey was nowhere to be found and Lena was fed up. She was fed up with almost everyone and everything that had gone down at PCA. It was hard enough for her to have to deal with seeing Nate around campus, now she had to deal with seeing Declan around. Lena just wanted to be able to get way, she had enjoyed her Thanksgiving break so much. Being away made it easy to forget all of the things she was going through. Coming back and telling Declan about Drew though had proven to be too muc for her and Lena was ready for another escape. She packed her bags in the dark and grabbed her brother’s car keys from her now empty night stand. She did’t see a need in having to stay at PCA anymore than she needed too. Classes were almost over by then anyway. She just needed someone to cover for her and she hoped that Alex was that person. She walked silently and quickly towards Alex’s dorm room. Hoping with all her might to not run into Ben or Declan or worse Ben and Declan together. When she finally reached his door she took a moment before finally knocking.] Alex, I need a favour…
"What did I just walk in on?"
My singing isn’t that bad, Tyler.
"I care about anyone who puts their tongue in your mouth. I don’t want you kissing those stupid fucking frat boys, or Alex, or Nate and you fucking know that! That’s why you tell me when you hang out with them because you knowyou’ll get a reaction out of me!” He grabbed his shoes without a thank you, putting them on his feet. He slipped his shirt over his head, swallowing a lump in throat, “I —” He grabbed his wallet and cellphone, shoving them into his front pocket, “I can’t talk about this with you right now, Lena. I just…don’t think weshould…do this anymore. At least.. — at least for right now.”
"I don’t tell you things just to get a reaction from you. I don’t like keeping things from you. I don’t keep secrets from you and Im not gonna start now.” Lena crossed her arms and huffed out at him. Even in the middle of their fight, Lena couldn’t help but notice how gorgeous Declan was. He was gorgeous; Brad Pitt in Thelma and Louise gorgeous. James Dean in Rebel without a Cause gorgeous… Kurt Cobain without the heroin gorgeous… Johnny Depp in 21 Jump Street gorgeous…Best type of eye candy; Messy hair, scruffy chin…sharp jaw. Now here she was, putting to bed any and every chance she would ever have with him. A lump formed in her throat and just as he said he wanted to end things she almost yelled out that she was in love with him. Lena walked over to the door, opening it for him and diverting her eyes away. “I — fuck — I agree.”
"I don’t care who you fucking did it to get back at. I care that it was with my fucking brother and you waited this long to tell me." He averted his eyes when she bent over, focusing on a random pair of socks on the floor. He looked back over when she straightened, his face souring even further. He pointed at her, raising his voice slightly, "Don’t act like you know what I fucking think, Lena. If you were just an easy fuck, then I wouldn’t give a shit about who put their tongue in your mouth." He stomped across the room, grabbing his belt. He began sliding it through the loops, clenching his jaw as he did so. He looked up at Lena again, sinking into himself a little as he saw the tears begin to form in her eyes. He forced himself not to soften. He fastened the belt, dropping down into a sitting position so he could put his socks on. Declan looked away, sliding the cloth over his feet, "I — I can’t… I can’t kissyou and know that my brother got there first. It’s —” Declan took a deep breath, wishing that Drew were here so he could punch him square in the face. He inhaled, yanking his second sock on, the original anger he’d felt returning full force, “I hatehim.”
"You just contradicted yourself!" Lena let out a watery laugh. "Do you care about who puts their tongue in my mouth or just that it was Drew?" She wanted to throw something of maybe punch something. Even if the outcome was the one she was oping for, having to see the man she loved yell at her and possible walk away from her did ore damage to her than any razor ever did. Lena wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, getting up to look for his shoes and set them by him. "I understand how you feel…don’t you think I played this out in my head? I’m sorry, I just had to tell you. I couldn’t keep hiding it."
"I don’t fucking care what it was, Lena!" Declan snapped at her, finally looking up to meet her eyes. He finally managed to get the button done on his pants, his eyes staring right at her. "You shouldn’t have told me." When she got out of bed, he looked away again, grabbing her shirt off of the floor, tossing it towards her, "Put your clothes on," he said gruffly, turning to look for his own top. He tried to ignore her words, but he could feel his heart pounding in his ears. He brought his hands up to his face, rubbing his cheeks while trying to process this new information. Looking up, Declan scowled, "Don’t, Lena! You — you know-” He cut himself off, frowning in frustration. He leaned in her direction, as if he was going to walk towards her, “You knowwe’re not just fucking. I know it, and you know it. — I just can’t fucking believe you made out with my brother.” He swallowed, staring hard at Lena. It was hard for him to admit that, though they both knew it was true. Declan just preferred to leave things unsaid rather than make things awkward by acknowledging them.
"I couldn’t just not tell you. That wasn’t a secret I planned on ever keeping. If anything, I made out with Drew to get back at Nate. It had nothing to do with you." She turned away from him as she pulled on her shirt, only to then bend down and pull on her underwear. "Stop acting like you didn’t only come around because you were getting laid. If this were more, like you said, it wouldn’t be confined to my dorm room. You wouldn’t run back to Ben as soon as you finished with me." Tears started to form in her eyes once again. "I know what I am to you, Declan. So, please, please, stop acting like I’m something more." Lena sat on the edge of her bed.
Declan’s entire demeanor went from surprised silence to anger in the space of a second. He was quick, pulling himself out of Lena’s body, rolling off of her to grab his boxers with the tips of his fingers. He jumped up off of the bed, yanking them up his legs. Turning quickly, he stared at Lena, “You kissed Drew? My fucking brother Drew?” He tugged on the ends of his hair, too focused on the mental image of his little brother kissing his girl to realize that she was calling him Peach. His voice rose an octave, “He gave you E?” Declan turned his back to her, scanning his eyes across the floor for his jeans, “What the hell, Lena!? Why didn’t you tell me earlier? — I mean… fuck…we’ve been talking since the second fucking week of school!” Declan took a few steps towards Lena’s dresser, grabbing his pants off of the ground and yanking them up his body. He furiously began zipping up his pants, refusing to make eye contact, choosing to stare at the ground instead.
Lena brought her legs up to her chin. It felt as if her heart were breaking into tiny pieces from the moment he started speaking again. “Well…it was either E or Xanax. Peach, it was so long ago I barely remember.” Lena was quickly starting to regret her sporadic decision. Though she knew that telling him would result in two different out comes, this particular out come wasn’t the one her heart wanted. This was the one her brain had hoped for. Lena pressed her face into her knees. “It was either now or never.” It was then that Lena decided to move out of her bed and towards him, stopping halfway. “I was terrified you’d stop coming around if I had told you earlier…and then you took me on a date, and then Halloween happened and then I fel—,” Lena took a deep breath once again. “Then I felt like you only wanted to fuck me so there wasn’t a reason for me to tell you, but today felt different.” Lena looked at him, hoping to maybe make some contact with his eyes.
